They arrived in a whirlwind on July 6th. Wow. Who knew it would be so much fun. We picked up Grimsby and Diamond Saturday evening and went straight home. They were so excited to be here too. Settled in nicely for the night. The first week was a bit of a circus.
Took them to be spayed and neutered on Friday, July 12th. All went well and home for recuperation. Aaaaah, things are so much calmer now that they are fixed. No more guarding Diamond 24/7:)
Grimsby was a stray and still has some of his street ways, like eating dirt, seeing a puddle and heading over for a quick drink, but has come leaps and bounds with housebreaking and is a real sweetheart. Love those big brown eyes. Still working on the leash business, but getting better every day.
If there were ten dogs in the house, Diamond would have to be number one. Diamond is a real live Diva. She is definitely the Alpha dog. A little black tornado tearing around the house and in the next breath sitting calmly on your lap being a little love. But she isn't comfortable with crowds and a lot of people around. This little doll is completely housebroken. Has never had an accident. Tries so hard to please. She needs a quiet and loving, understanding forever home.
